Hello,

I have messenger running on my Win XP SP2 PC. I've downloaded and installed
the latest version. I have three friends who also are running Win XP SP2.
They downloaded the latest version.

I can chat with all three however I can't seem to get file sharing to work
with all three, it only works with one of them. I tried deleting the
shared folder I created for one person and recreating it. I get the same
issue with both people I can't share with.

I keep getting a message (friend's name) would like to share files with you.
Do you want to start a sharing folder with (friend's name)? So I click
YES. I get - The sharing action could not be completed due to an error.
There is only one option - OK. The whole message starts all over again in
about 10 minutes.

Hi Boe,

Thanks for reporting this issue. Did you uninstall an older version, then
install to the latest? If you did and are still running into this problem, I
will need to look at logs to help diagnose the issue (feel free to email me
at to follow up offline).

Thanks

Ines
