Hi,
I am trying to set up the same thing but starting with the whiteboard
and application sharing - here is one link to a microsoft article about what
ports need to be available for what parts of Windows Messenger.
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/pro...e/insid01.mspx
Short and sweet of it (Since the link is a book

) is that "TCP for 1503"
needs to be open for WB and App Sharing. - possible for your remote
Assistance - I not an expert in this (I just want to know what to turn on)
also Jonathan Kay - told me that the Router has to be UPnP Compatible.
I just found this on Jonathans site -
http://messenger.jonathankay.com/allsteps.aspx?ID=16 - I am not sure if this
is needed, because under the Exeptions tab the Windows Live Messenger 8.0 is
selected (that was one step in the setup from another source) - but I am
going to try to add those in the correct place - it looked a little differnt
for me to get to the step 5 screen shot but it was there.
I think I have everything set up right and would like to test it out with
someone who at least had it working at one time. If you want to contact me
you can do it at chornishATcap-associatesDOTcom and try to test this out.
