Shared folder permissions

I have a couple of shared folders I want anyone on my internal network
to be able to access. I thought I had set up the permissions correctly
but they still get access denied messages. How can I share to
everyone? I have given the everyone group full contro but my daughter
for instance using her laptop can't access the share. She doesn't have
an account on my PC so is this the problem? Any way round this one?l

quick follow up, other PC's can see the folders and files on the share
but cannot access any of them.

Hello, go to the Network and Sharing Center.

There should be two options you'll need to check there.

Public folder sharing 'on', 'read only' or 'off'.

And also Password protected sharing, which can be 'on' or 'off'.

You'll want the first one to be on or read only. And the second one to be
off. That should do the trick.

Tried that but still the same. Finally figured it out though.
This was a new share after I upgraded and had to go into the Security
tab on properties and give everyone read and then let it filter down
through all the folders !!
