Greetings,
Sharing Folders is for sharing files. The feature you're thinking of is not available on
Vista.
The replacement is Office SharedView, which is a free application you can get from
www.sharedview.com. Unfortunately it has no Messenger integration but you can copy/paste the
invitation links to a Messenger conversation window and send them that way.
