Interesting that I see many with networking issues. Yet despite my
complaints about Vista, the networking has almost worked flawlessly between
my Vista, XP and Linux beasts from first boot. My XP machine has been
designated as the workhorse to carry my printers and also a 500Gb external
hard drive, and though slower across the network, can read and write to all
files on that external drive.
Can we assume that when you open these same documents from the hard drive of
the Vista box they open allowing you to save them?
