Ok. I am new to vista. I have two vista Basic computers. I wanted to share
some folders to transfer files from one PC to another. It worked for a while
then it stopped. I do not remember the error msg but it was something like
it could not connect to folder. Both PCs are on the network under workgroup
domain. any suggestions?

Thanks,

I suggest a post, or even just a look through, the Vista Networking
newsgroup, where it's been asked and answered many times.

Jim: That may be easier in the short run, but it does not answer his question or improve his setup.
Please don't post if you cannot help with the actual problem.

To the OP (original poster) you will have to give us some more information.
The exact error msg would be a start.
Try this web site as a starter;

Hi Dooma,

Control Panel/Network and Sharing Center, make sure network discovery and
file sharing are enabled.
