Hello,

Two of my 'shell' folder icons, ie Videos & Public, appear as ordinary
yellow icons in explorer. I'm not sure why. Can I change them back to their
defaults?

Thanks

K

He's talking about the actual folder icon, not the Details view columns.

The contained desktop.ini files must be missing, or the folders are not set
with the read-only attribute.

This page explains step-by-step:

Hi KRK,

Fixing the Desktop.ini file and setting the correct attributes for the shell
folder corrects the problem. Pick one of the following methods:

Shell folders are displayed with the standard folder icon in Windows Vista:

Fix Desktop.INI files in Special Folders using DesktopINIFix for Windows
