shift key/caps lock and window's media centre

I have just received a new acer laptop with win vista premium. For 2 days
the keyboard worked fine. However, now if the right shift key is pressed to
enter capitals, a capital is written, caps lock stays on and the windows
media centre launches. Additionally, CAPS LOCK has a similar effect. Only
the left shift key is unaffected. Any ideas? Thanks

Personally, I'd contact Acer straight away.
It is under Warranty, and brand new!

Shame these things always happen in "out of office" hours!!!

Always; unfortunately.

And the comp companies only work mon-fri(business hours) for support!
