I have recently switched to Windows Vista from Windows XP and on my XP I
could drag a folder from my desk top and add it to the taskbar so that I can
access what's in my folder without opening an explorer window to access
what's in that folder. So far on Vista I have not found how to do this. Can
anyone help me?

You can do the exact same thing in Windows Vista. Make sure the shortcuts
taskbar area is active, right-click the taskbar and unlock it. Expand the
shorcuts area to the right of the Start Menu orb, so that you make room for
dragging icons into it.

Hi Renee,

Yes, Vista has that option to add a New Toolbar for a folder on the
taskbar. This tutorial will show you how to.

For me it works just like XP. However, all that is moved to the task bar is a
shortcut.
