Hey Johnathan,
Yes, I've been making desktop shortcuts since 1989 on an Amiga (Windows was
just a baby, and too slow. Version2 was my first experience).
When I'm working, my desktop is covered. Every where except the upper right
corner where my Messenger is at.
If you go to
http://realisticperceptions.spaces.live.com/ and look at the
screen shot "The Live Desktop" or the other one, you'll see what I mean. (and
that's when it's cleaned up :-> )
Sometime when I go for a destop icon, I lose track of where I was at and
what I was doing. After the umpteenth time of that was when I made the
suggestion.
I could put one in the quick launch bar, but since "Live" is so integrated,
why not one or two more on the messenger? Why go half way? If it is going
to be the central hub of a communications system, might as well finish it up?
And an option to call another computer (Yahoo's works really cool. I can't
let it go until LM get's it. It's just too functional)
If I could only choose one, I would choose the link to the Ofice Live member
center. though. One click from the Studio to the Office. That's the way to
commute.
Take care and thanks for the reply,
Keith Hailey
