this shortcut is only valid for products that are installed

if I reboot my PC (win2003 server) windows live messenger starts and allows
me to sign in. if I exit then click the icon to restart it then I get a
message which says this shortcut is only valid for products that are
installed. ive been using Windows live mesenger for years and only within
the last 2-3 weeks has the problem started to occur. does anyone else have
this problem? or better yet a solution.....

Yes, don't use illegal software on your computer.

It's probably just an old shortcut. Just make a new one and point it to \Program
Files\Windows Live\Messenger\msnmsgr.exe and you should be good to go.
