Shortcut problem

When I try to open internet explorer I get the following message:

The item 'iexplore.exe' that this shortcut refers to has been changed
or moved, so this shortcut will no longer work properly. Do you want to
delete this shortcut?

How do I reset this shortcut or open internet explorer?

Can you do a system restore to a point in time before you started
experiencing this problem? Have you installed any applications that might
have interfered with IE?

Right click on the shortcut and select "Properties", under the shortcut
tab see if the location is correct, it should be C:\Program
Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe.
