They work just fine, but all of my shortcuts that locate an .exe file end up
with the default file picture laying on top of it. It just started out of
the blue.

Here's a pic of what I'm talking about: http:/www.staceyblood.com/sample.jpg

Thank you!

What happens if you press F5?

Go to Start > All Programs > Accessories and right-click
on the Command Prompt and choose "Run as administrator".
Type in: SFC /SCANNOW and press your Enter key.

All about harvesting icons, resizing for Vista, retaining selected icons,
etc. in this tutorial.

Hey Andre,

Well, when I press F5 the icons momentarily blink to what they are supposed
to be. Interesting. And I ran the scannow and it didn't change anything.

uvbogden,

Itried deleting the icnocache and it didn't change anything. But, I did
switch to 16-bit color and it fixed it. But going back to 32-bit it reverted
to the problem

Try downsizing the icon display setting as described in the tutorial.

Okay, none of that stuff worked. Anyone have any new ideas on this?
