Shortcuts on desktop for other users

Just wondering if there is a way to get into user's desktops to remov
program shortcuts?

I don't want to install programs "only for this user" however I don'
want the shortcuts for my kids either.

Any ideas

In Vista, desktop folders are located at "C:\Users\<name>\Desktop\". You can
locate your kids desktop folder and delete the shortcuts from that folder.

Hi Michael

You can access their desktop by going to their "C:\Users\(use
name)\Desktop" folder and adding or removing shortcuts from there

This tutorial will show you how to add or remove shortcuts from th
Start menu for the single current user, or for all users

Thank you both for that information, however I already know about that.

This is more complicated as it only shows like 3 programs going that
route. It does not show all shortcuts on the desktops of the users.

Shawn, might want to take note that you have no domain extention on the
link you gave, nor is it in your signature. it shows www.vistax64 with
no .com or anything.

Strange Michael. They show the .com on my end from this link to this

I suppose that you can change the permissions for the EXE of that
program to make sure that your kid's user accounts cannot access it.
Option One in this tutorial will show you how to, but add the one you
want blocked instead and click Deny for everything. Be sure to not
include your user account or the administrator group.
