It's just a little thing but is there any way to change the generic shortcut
icon that often appears on the desktop for the more obvious one - eg BBC logo
etc?

Thank you

H

Right-click the shortcut, choose "Properties". On the "Shortcut" tab,
click the "Change Icon..." button. Pick one of the icons displayed, or
use the "Browse..." button to search for other files containing icons.

Thanks but I have already looked at that option.

I seem to remember once - possibly by accident- having a 'proper' Google
icon but can't recall where it came from. Perhaps it was just my day. Google
is one of those I want to switch away from the large e in a square format.

Regards,

Aitch

So you know how to switch icons, but you can't find a Google icon that
you like. I Googled for "Google icon" and came up with a list of
possibilities. I think that's your logical next step.
