Should I update?

I just got a T60P Lenovo factory refurb preloaded with XP Pro SP3.

I went to the update site and got a huge update that said it would catch up
everything to date.

Back at the update site it shows 20 or 30 additional updates.

Do I really need to do all those?

Depends - you want a fully patched/more secure system or not?

Really up to you. The machine was obviously not fully patched when you got
it. It only takes a few (3 to 6 I would say, on average) months to get to
20-30 updates for Windows/Office.

When you think of how many updates you actually have installed just because
you have SP3 already -the number is quite staggering.
