should I wait for sp3?

six hours later and thanks to jet ive found how long it will take me to get
sp2. after what ive read about sp2 and all the hassle with it i am left
wondering wether or not to wait for sp3 or sp99 for that matter. can i sue
microsoft for the amount of stress this has caused me and also for selling a
faulty product in the first place?

It would pretty much have to kill you to make a successful lawsuit.
Come to think of it . . . is computercide a recognized crime?

I'm waiting for many many moons before I attempt SP2, and I'll have
EVERYTHING backed up and ready to reinstall XP.

But wait.... sp2 did exactly what it was suppose to do... Close a
bunch of security holes... ie... if the computer is brought to its
knees by installing sp2, then your security holes are no longer
open.... Right?
