Show Desktop Icon Missing on quick launch

tried:
Restore/Add Show Desktop to Quick Launch (Line 61)
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm
but didn't appear on quick launch even though said it was completed?

Did copy/paste in Notepad and that did work.

Any ideas why this shortcut miraculously disappeared for future reference?

Does Show Desktop appear in the folder
[C:\Users\accountname\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Int ernet Explorer] ?

Does unlocking the Taskbar and resizing the Quick Launch bar allow Show
Desktop to appear?
