Windows Vista allows files and folders to be made hidden, useful for keeping critical system files away from the user and for hiding important documents. If you wish to show all of the hidden files by default, follow these simple steps.

Click on the Organise button in any folder view, then select Folder and Search Options:

Name: hiddenfiles1.jpg
Views: 1197
Size: 27.4 KB

Click the View tab at the top of the page, then scroll down to check the "Show hidden files and folders" box. Click OK once this is done:

Name: hiddenfiles2.jpg
Views: 1172
Size: 62.3 KB
