We are on a network and use msn between work computers to communicate as part
of our design work.

Suddenly we can send each other messages but the message is the recipient
can't receive them. It's like they are offline but they aren't. We can
receive from others that are not on the network.

this is very similar to what people in the the forum "I can't receive
messages from anyone" forum...

....i've been having the exact same problem u have been having...and it's
REALLY bugging me a lot...

i'm a regular messenger user...i am on ONLINE status and yet, ever since a
couple of days ago, i seemed to have suddenly turned into a loner...i see all
the people i know online, they see me...but they cannot initiate
conversations with me...

i've had friends emailing me about the problem...(that's how i realised i
wasn't really a loner...but a problem that needs fixing)

....tried reinstalling a zillion times, formatted computer..........and
also...using other computers doesn't help my situation (should've tried this
1st)

msn support, i've email them detailing what my problems were..........few
days passed....no reply...

REALLY annoying

Once again posting to let people know they are not alone. I have had the
exact same problem since about a week ago. There are more and more threads
like this popping up...

hmm...started working for me again as well...YAY (dun wanna speak too soon
AGAIN)...but YAY anyway...lol

....i dunno if i should be writing about this, it's a conspiracy theory i
just started thinking about after what happened for the last week or
so...probably end up getting read up by m$n personnel and get my account
banned or something...but i'll write it up anyway...;; M$N PPL, PLEASE dun
ban my account if it's the truth (or even if it's wrong...)

WELL...i just had this crazy idea...that M$ decided to select a few regular
users of messenger and make them suffer what we suffered. from this, they
observed how many of the people who were affected by this experiment took
action in an attempt to fix the problem (all of us on the forum are one of
them), this includes through the use of consulting m$n support website
thingie where u bitch by email about ur problems.
through this, msn can obvserve how many of the selected users were desparate
enough to take time and effort to rectify the situation.
....what can they find out from this?...they can figure out whether people
are willing to PAY for m$n as a form of communication...

Dear Microsoft... although i REALLY do appreciate your windows messaging
software, i believe that making users pay for the service is not going to go
very well. i am 1 of many who is a regular user of the messenger service, but
have 2nd thoughts when it comes to having to pay for the service.

....just sharing my honest thoughts...DK
