I am running windows xp sp2, and after I applied some updates today, the look
of my "Shut Down Windows" box changed. IT use to be 3 icons across "Standy"
"Shut Down" "Restart", allowing me to use keyboard letter shortcuts "S" "U"
"R".

After running the windows updates, now I have a drop down menu, and I can no
longer use the keyboard shortcuts. I haven't been able to find anywhere (here
or Google search) any information on what update did this, and whether or not
I can change it back. It's not that big of a deal, I just wasn't expecting
it, and I prefer the old way.

If anyone has a clue as what happened or where to look, it would be much
appreciative.

EricS,

Which updates were applied ? Does the classic Win2K logon window appear
on Startup ?

Yes, it was. It turned out to be something else though. I had also updated my
wireless card firmware/software and for some reason it disabled my fast user
switching, so when I went to change that it led me in the right direction (of
the wireless card being the culprit). Thanks anyway.
