Shutdown and Printer problems Service Pack 2

Hello,

After recently installing Service Pack 2 for Xp from Windows Automatic
Updates I found that the computer is taking a long time (Up to 5 minutes) to
shutdown, and sometimes even freezes altogether. My Epson Stylus C46 inkjet
printer is also refusing to work and the computer freezes whenever I try to
use or access the printer. I downloaded the latest drivers but this has still
not solved my printer problem. Is there any way of fixing the above problems?
I have a fully updated Norton SystemWorks and Firewall as well as using
Windows Anti-Spyware.

Hey Oliver, I think I'm having the exact same problem with my Epson Stylus
C41UX, please let me know if you hear of anything that'll help!
