Shutdown problem

Hi folks,

I have vista home premiun, when I try to shut it down it diplays the message
'shutdown' and it got stuck there.
Any ideas,

We have had an issue with Norton Antivirus that causes that.
Despite two support sessions with Symantec, no cure was
forthcoming. We had to go to a different Antivirus product.

Hello Ronaf

It sounds like you have some program that is not willing to shutdow
properly causing the hang up. Before shutting down see what is runnin
in Task Manager and close them one by one before shutting down until yo
find the culprit

Until you find the problem program, this shutdown shortcut may help fo
now. It should force the programs to close and shutdown the computer.
