Shutting off Windows Security Alerts (red shield)

Hello Everyone.

We have auto updates turned off because we are using a patch management
solution to push the updates out to our clients. We turn off the updates so
that the user has no intervention. However, I keep getting the red shield
that says that the updates are turned off.

Is there anyway to turn off the tray icon red shield alert?

Try this:

Control Panel/Security Center, click on the "Change the Way
Security Center Notifies Me" link in the left pane.
