This is standard behaviour for all applications when switching to the
desktop using either ALT+TAB, WINKEY+TAB (Flip 3D) or the "Show Desktop"
Quick Launch shortcut. The Sidebar is nothing more than "just another
application".
But perhaps this will be addressed with Vista SP1
