I personally suspect this has something to do with priority and the order
they are loaded in. Some Gadgets that take more time load are loaded last.
Remember they are applications too (mini applications that is).

Every so often when I turn the computer on, my sidebar gadgets are not in the
order I left them. What is the reason for this? I thought I saw a post on
here about it being a bug, but I can't seem to find that post again. Is this
a known issue, or am I just doing something wrong?

Thanks!

So do you think I am doing something to cause this to happen? I usually
cannot reproduce the problem; even when I run Disk Cleanup and delete all
temporary files, etc., the gadgets come up in the correct order most of the
time. I cannot predict when it will happen, but once in a while, the
computer will start up with the gadgets randomly rearranged.

The problem is very intermittent for me -- again, I can't really seem to
reproduce it on command.

Well, its just a common glitch, nothing attributed to user fault, if you
have lot of Gadgets loaded on the Sidebar, some will predictably longer to
load than others, especially ones that might depend on a Network Service for
instance.
