Sidebar vanished

Thanks in advance for your assistance.
I've got a new computer running home premium 32 on a standaleone al-la-carte
computer with great hardware. Sidebar was working fine until the third day
and on booting up sidebar didn't appear. It is set to launch on start-up.
There are no error messages with any user or administrator. When I open the
task manager there is no hint of sidebar under processes or applications. I
have tried to open sidebar with the suggestions provided in this group to no
avail. Can anyone help?
