Via internet explorer 7 on windows xp sp3 (both with all latest updates) i
have been using the vista forums at
http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/com...7-c6829af79b0d
without any problem.

Now, however, when I click the Sign In in button on the 1st page displayed
from the URL above, it takes me to the sign in page (as expected), I sign
in, but it never acutally signs me in. After sign in, the same page is
displayed showing that I need to sign in. If I choose to post a question,
it should ask me to sign in (if not signed in), but just redisplays the same
page will all the posts. Either way, it is not allowing me to sign in.

I don't have any problem signing in to any other MS forum with the same
passport sign in. I use such forums extensively.

I am posting this question via Outlook Express to see if anyone has an
answer. I have deleted all saved Internet stuff (cookies, pages, etc.) but
that did not resolve the problem.

Please advise.
Thanks
Bob

Do yourself a HUGE favour.
Ditch the appalling web interface for a news reader. then you'll never have
to sign in at all.

Do yourself a BIG favour and ditch the horrible web interface. Use a news
reader instead.

Setting up Outlook Express/Windows Mail to access Microsoft newsgroups

If you are posting this via Outlook Express then why don't you stay with it instead of using that awful Web Interface.

How did you get into this group using OE?

You can easily do ALL MS groups using OE.

http://www.microsoft.com/Windows/ie/...groups101.mspx

Read the section "The Microsoft public news server"

Yes I accessed this group via Outlook Express to get an answer to my
question.

I prefer the Web interface, because it is evolving and improving (the
Expression Web Forum interface is nothing short of amazing). OE forum
interface will never go beyond where it is today. People are different and
that is OK.

None of that is relavent to my question.

Does anybody have any idea how to fix the problem in my original post or who
to contact for help? Is the a forum on forums?
Thanks
Bob
