Sign-In Issues (old account?)

I apologize if this is in here I looked for a while and didn't find
anything...

I have 2 accounts i use with messenger, one is a hotmail account i've had
since 98 or earlier, and last few days i havn't been able to sign into the
older account.

I get the following error codes
81000306
81000314
81000395

I can't even sign into web-messenger. but i can get into hotmail so i know
it's not password or any other problem like that, i know its not my
connection because i can sign in with my newer account on any version, web,
live or windows messenger.... but the other one.. nothing

any ideas?

and no i don't want to get rid of my old account

My issue seems to be with an old account as well (since 96). Anyone else?

Hi

Yes my old account is also no longer working. I cannot log onto Messenger,
hotmail, live etc, most frustrating, and all of a sudden as well.

Greetings,

You can also try this.

Go to Start, run, then type "regedit"

Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\microsoft\MSNMessenger\ Policies

Delete the key "contacts.msn.com"

Then, try launching Windows Live Messenger again.

after 3 days it simply let me back in, again with no changes on my end....

i would like to understand why this happens, It's obvisous that its not on
my end, but theres somthing up with my older account? What could be
changing serverside that would let me in 98% of the time, then just like a
switch was flipped im un-able to sign in with that account, but works fine
with other acccounts? blame this on the ghost in the machine perhaps?
figure it'd have somthin better to do with all thats out there now ud think

There are issues going on that you are reporting. The server team is aware
of the issue.

If you are consistently encountering these errors and are unable to sign in
