Sign in problem WLM/MSN Mail

When I load Windows XP Pro WLM appears and invite me to sign in. It DOES
sign in but the MSN To Day window shows a message
" sign in failed please sign in again"
When the windows load has finished and I open MSN mail, WLM shows signed
normally.
MSN mail is only connected to a premium hotmail account using MSN Premium
version 95. I also have Outlook 2007 on my system but it is not connected to
hot mail.

Does any one know how to fix this problem?

I have since version 6 of MSNM found the sign in dodgy and I was wondering
if the best work around would be to load WLM but not sign in and allow it to
sign it when I open MSN mail?

Not having the problem, I am not sure of a solution.

It sounds like Windows is starting WLMD before starting the MSN login. I'd
suggest going into Tools, Options, and on the General tab unchecking
"Automatically log on to Windows Live Messenger", and "Allow automatic sign
in to Windows Live Mail desktop". Also check your Start vectors, and see if
you can stop WLMD from loading when Windows opens.

If you have Windows XP, I would recommend not using any version of MSN
Messenger less than version 7.5. And yes, do let your computer make the MSN
connection before letting WLMD, and Messenger, run.

This does fix the sign in problem but of course I do not get a preview of
the mail inbox. My options in WLM are not quite the same as yours which may
account for it.

Thanks for you help

Reviewing your original post I see I made an error. I took "version 6 of
MSNM" to refer to MSN Messenger, and gave you menus for "Windows Live
Messenger". Maybe you meant "MSN Internet Browser 6"? I am now somewhat
confused about your applications.
