sign in problems with the mandatory upgrade

I have a friend on my contact list that can only use web messenger to sign in
because he is saying messenger will sign in for a few seconds and then sign
back out. is there anything that can correct this? he has also said he has
tried everything. but it does the same thing.

I'm getting the same problem when I did the mandatory upgrade. I installed
the latest version when it came out and when I clicked the sign in button,
the guys were dancing, and after a while, it didn't sign in. Sometimes it
actually sign in, but sign back out after a few seconds. I rolled back to the
previous version I had, and continued using it for a long period of time. Now
I'm getting the mandatory upgrade and the same problems are happening.

alot of people seem to be having problems with that my question is is there a
solution for it.
