I keep all my data, including Outlook.pst files onto a separate disk D: . Synchronization works fine for all outlook data contact, calendar, notes, etc. (I don't sync email since I only use IMAP account and my mobile operators pushes all emails directly into my phone).
When I then checked the box to sync Files in Active Sync, it created a folder in 'DESKTOP\My Documents\VM_Owner My Documents\. And the Briefcase Path in registry was set to '\VM_Owner My Documents\'.
I unchecked the box to sync Files, unplugged the phone from USB and stopped Active Sync.
Then I changed the registry Briefcase Path to 'D:\PhoneSync\'.
Then I connected the Phone to USB, Active Sync started, connected and synchronized automatically. Then I checked again the box to sync Files.
At the next sync MS ActiveSync created the folder 'DESKTOP\My Documents\PhoneSync\, and set the value 'Briefcase Path \PhoneSync\' in the registry. My 'D:\PhoneSync' remained empty.
I'm using Active Sync 4.5.0 build 5096 that was delivered with the Samsung SH-i900.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
