I've scanned this group and have yet to really find a direct answer to the
questions I have:
What we have:
Moto-Q smartphones w/ Windows Mobile 2005
Exchange 2003
What we are doing:
I'm testing wireless email connectivity using Activesync and Exchange 2003.
Everything is configured properly on server side and PDA side so we are
synching up messages w/out issues.
Questions:
1. Only a users local contacts synch with the phone. What is the easiest
way to get the GAL to synch with the phone?
2. Is there an automatic way to do this or must it be done by exporting the
GAL to some kind of file, and then importing it into the phone? Or perhaps
importing it into personal contacts?
3. Is there any third party tool that will help facilitate this?
4. Is there a way to configure the Outlook on WM05 so that autocomplete
actually includes the users SMTP address instead of just their name? It
seems it just auto-complete's the name and when you hit send, there's an
error since there is no SMTP address there.
5. For certificates, can anyone comment on any utilities available that will
automatically send trusted root certificate(s) to PDA's and automatically
install them so that it will be much easier to get Activesync w/ Exchange to
work or is this a manual process?
Finally, are there any plans in the works to improve WM05 so that it is more
robust and feature rich?
Any good feeback would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
M
