The simplest solution to WU v5 problems

I was having problems with WU v5 malfunctions. I simply went to
"Tools>Manage Add-Ons" and disabled all add-ons. Then, Windows Update v5
worked perfectly. So, I started enabling only the add-ons I wanted
one-by-one until I had determined which were causing conflicts. BTW, some
add-ons actually made Windows default to v4, so they do seem to have a huge
effect on the whole update process. I don't even know how some of these
add-ons got installed in the first place. Pass it on . . .

Which add-on caused the issue with V5?

Also which add-on reverted you back to the V4 site?
