The Sims won't install

Hey
When i try to install the original sims onto vista it comes up wit
this error message

'SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\VirtualDeviceDri vers. Virtual Devic
Driver format in the registry is invalid. Choose 'Close' to terminat
the program

[Close]

I searched around and found a guide that told me to locate th
VirtualDeviceDrivers in 'Redegt32'

However, when I look for the file the VirtualDeviceDrivers folder i
the Redegt32 program, it isn't there
Does anyone know what to do
