Since the SP 2 update my Windows is sloooow!

Hi.
Since I've installed the SP2 update, my PC has considerably slowed down. Are
there components I can twiddle to get back up to speed?

Do you have a Dell Inspiron 1150 or 2650?

In that case, you may get a slow running system after installing SP2,
