Sky Anytime - blank screen when pressing play

As with many other UK users I am experiencing problems with Sky Anytime and
Windows Vista. Sky's customer support is beyond appalling - they simply told
me I need to consult Microsoft as the problem is not with the Sky program. Of
course it isn't...

I can download shows and movies no problem, however when I click on play I
get a blank media player screen and nothing happens. I see other people have
experienced this problem as well. Is there a codec I need to download?

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards,

Mark

It maybe codec issues, try installing DivX codecs -

I had the same issue in Media Centre in Windows 7 Professional.

I resolved it by going to Sky Player's website on my PC in Firefox, an
watching a live TV channel first, in order to have silverlight installe
and to activate my machine as far as Sky's DRM system is concerned.

I had to install the Silverlight plugin, and I had to restart Firefo
to complete that install. I then chose any live TV channel an
silverlight started up, and obtained a licence. There was a messag
about my PC being activated to play live TV channels.

I went back to Media Centre, and chose a live TV channel. Instead o
the blank screen, the silverlight plugin started up and obtained
licence to play the video.

Perhaps Sky could put a message under the silverlight plugin which say
"Install Silverlight, then go to Sky Player website to activate thi
machine" rather than displaying a blank screen
