skype versus vista

I have a toshiba notebook with an inbuilt webcam and running vista.
When someone calls on skype their video freezes on my screen. Does
anyone else have this problem or know why it happens. You can hear but
not see.

Check with Skype tech support. Skype has had a number of issues and
their tech support will know workarounds, patches, etc.
