sleep and won't wake up

My vista computer goes into sleep mode and will not wake up. I can type on
keys or use mouse but nothing happens, I have to end up pushing the button to
restart the computer.

Any ideas???

Are your Sleep plans setup properly? My power plan is set to balanced, so on
Battery power it turns the display off after 5 mins, when plugged in after
20 mins.

The computer is put to sleep after 15 mins and 45 mins when plugged in.

I would also check to make sure your battery is fully charged.

I have the same problem. But it's not on a laptop.

Don't worry about it. It's broke. Microsoft confirmed it. Do a Google on
Vista sleep problems with no video on wake up and you will see your not
alone. Bad thing about this Major Bug is SP-1 has yet to address the
problem. Yeah, I know It's still beta. yada yada. Not looking good for the
SP-1 yet.

My laptop running Vista x64 sleeps and wakes with no problems, its also very
instant too, just press power button and all I need to do is type in my
password and I'm back to what I was doing.

Congrats. Again, Mine is not a Laptop! and not running 64bit. But do a
search and you will see I'm not alone with this problem.

I am running Home Premium 32bit on 5yo desktop, and it is fine.
Left it at defaults, 10minutes + 10 minutes, and it wakes with a mouse move
or keystroke.
