I have an HP Zd7260, 3.2Ghz, 1MB, 80G HD, Nvida GeForce FXGo 5700 video card,
and I just installed Vista,
everyting looks fine, I really like it, the only problem is when the computer
goes into the sleep mode, it won't come back, I have to turn it off and on,
otherwise, it shows the message "windows is resuming from sleep..." and
that's it. It never resumes from sleep. At that point I have to turn the
computer off.

Well, well this might not seem like a solution, but change the power scheme
so that when you press the sleep button, it is directed to do nothing. In
short, forget about sleep mode for the moment. That's not exactly a fix, but
at least you don't have to keep shutting the thing off.

the sleep mode issue is a big problem, it happens with all laptops, something
that MS has to work on, it works, just not all the time...

Yeap, I did just that, thanks for the idea, and like you said, at least I
don't have to turn this thing off and on.

Yes, you're right, we have two laptops and is not workind on either one. I am
so used to XP, it works like a charm in XP, and I understand that this VIsta
is a beta, I am sure MS will fix this sleep mode problem.

Also check if your bios has different power management options which affect
sleep mode.
