I was having problems with the internet earlier which turned out to be the
usual crap with the connection, but before it started working again I tried
to see if it was working on my dad's pc which is connected with a router.
His machine couldn't get online either, and I clicked what I thought was the
shutdown button. It was that damned "sleep" thing on Vista. I just switched
the pc off, assuming it wouldn't affect anything.
Maybe an hour later my dad tried to put his machine on, and it kept bringing
up a blue screen, then restarting. It brought up a suggestion of running
something to fix the problem, but it ran through it and said it couldn't do
anything, so I decided to use the option to restore it to factory settings.
It ran through this and restarted, but it said it can't finish the
installation and to restart.
It now just keeps restarting and telling me it can't finish the restoration.
It gives me this message - "windows could not complete the installation. to
install windows on this computer, restart the installation"
