The trick here is to be specif.
Which edition of Vista and with or without SP1
Which specific p2p program
What setting have you got in power management for sleep, hybrid sleep,, run
off monitor etc etc.
More details of what actually happens to your program when you try and run
it and what you mean about running it and when - you mention "Sleep or
regular" etc
Less put it this way - I have no problem letting a P2P program run night and
day with the monitor shutting off but of course the machine is not set to
sleep (what would be the point if I am trying to run a program all night
etc)
So without lots more detail it is hard to say anything about your situation.
