just started ,can anyone help, Vista, start>sleep. putting my laptop to
sleep, seconds later the drive wakes up again and my log on page appears,
does it over and over agin, any ideas please

Windows Vista ____ Edition with Service Pack _, __-bit?
What changed between it working and not working?
Tried a system restore?
Checked that you have the latest hardware drivers direct from the individual
hardware manufacturer's web pages?

In your BIOS, you probably have "Wake on LAN" enabled.

Take a look at a result of cmd command powercfg /lastwake.
