Sleep/waking up

I put my Vista Ultimate machine to sleep, the screen went blank but the
power and hard disk lights stayed on continuously. I don't know if the
machine actaully went to sleep but after about 10 minutes I could not awaken
it - pressing the power button had no effect. The only option was to
reboot.

The ACPI in the BIOS is set on S3.

Is there a problem with sleep in Vista or am I doing something wrong?

Sounds a lot like a similar problem I just had caused by a Microsoft
Multimedia update. Try opening advanced power options and under the
multimedia settings choose "allow the computer to sleep." That worked for
me.
