I've got a folder with 1,891 jpg pictures in it. It has been customized
to show the Pictures and Videos template. However, there is no SlideShow
button (or Burn button) in the Windows Explorer toolbar.
If I use Customize this Folder, change to a different template, set it
back to Pictures and Videos, then Apply the settings, the SlideShow (and
Burn) button appears in the toolbar. However, when I close the window
and reopen it, the SlideShow button is gone again.
Alternatively, I can select any number of pictures in the folder, at
which point the SlideShow button appears. When I deselect all pictures,
the SlideShow button remains.
This seems to happen in any folder with a lot of pictures in it. Folders
with only a few pictures show the SlideShow button immediately.
How can I get this button to remain visible? Is this a known bug? I'm
using Windows Vista Business with SP1.
