You can't update a CDROM, its Read-Only.

You would have to create a new one.

The names of the administrative EXE files have been changed for clairtiy.
I personaly keep the files handy using the below used names.

Assuming the CDROM is "D:"

copy d:\i386 to c:\

Execute; Win2K_SP4.exe -u -s:c:\
Execute; Win2K_PostSP4_rollup.exe /integrate:c:\

Create a new CD using the files in c:\i386

Hi,

Note that there will be released a revised version of Rollup1 for
Win2k SP4 in the near future. I would have waited for it to be
released before creating the slipstreamed CD.

Hi Torgeir:

Could you please define "revised" and elaborate on what's different or added to it ?

Hi,

I don't think anything will be added to it, it will be just bug fixes.

Based on the information in the KB article
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/891861
at least the 3 following known issues will be fixed in the reissued
version:

You receive a "Stop 0x000001E" error message when you restart the
computer after you install Update Rollup 1 for Windows 2000 SP4

On a computer that uses dynamic disks, two system drives may appear
after you install Update Rollup 1 for Windows 2000 SP4

You cannot save files from Microsoft Office programs directly to a
floppy disk

And maybe this one will be included:

Juergen Terlinden also found a bug in the Rollup1 installer, XML 3.0
SP7 will be set back to XML 3.0 SP5 in some cases when you install
Update Rollup 1.

Doug Neal [MSFT] concluded with this:

issue and provide the detailed insights to allow us to track this down.

We will consider this item for inclusion in an future update to the W2K

I hope that helps, Juergen - and thanks again for helping us identify
the issue...
