Hello,

I was attempting to slipstream the KB885250 / MS05-011 hotfix into a set of
Windows XP SP2 Home Edition installation files. I received the message: "An
error occured while attempting to integrate this software update package.
Verify that the architecture, language, and service pack level of this
software update are valid for the target distribution folder."

I was, however, able to sucessfully slipstream these other KB updates:
867282
873333
873339
885835
885836
886185
887472
887797
888113
888302
890047
890175
891781

I was just wondering what is going on and why the /integrate command does
not work as expected. To get around the problem until a solution is
discovered, I extracted the update files using the /x command manually
integrated KB885250 into the installation files.

I am not sure, but wonder if it is somehow related to the mrxsmb.sys file
that is being updated by KB885250. Note that KB885835 / MS04-044 updates the
mrxsmb.sys file as well, but KB885250 contains version 5.1.2600.2598 - which
is the newest version.

Thank you. I hope a fix can be found.

I had the same error whilst integrateing) 885835... I had only
previous integrated MS04-041 and subsequent patches integrated fine

I had to install the patch manually :-(
