Hi:
two problems - 1. my boot up time is 84 seconds. Have tried to cut start up
items, but to no help. I need a faster boot on windows XP Pro! Already have
the 2.4 G chip and 512 RAM
Problem #2 - on my last update, My powerpoint program will no longer play
audio files in the WMA form. I have not updated to SP2 yet. It also
affected my update in Norton Antivirus. Any help?

Try and go to MSConfig\Start Up and take out checkmarks from all unnecessary
programs that want to load at start up. Does it make a difference on the 2nd
boot. It will not on the 1st one. Post back with result.

I tried this and there was no difference in the boot performance. Thanks
for the suggestion. Any others?
