I was wondering if anyone can help me. I have window Vista and have IE8.
I'm DSL internet and here lately it had been running slow. I'm wondering if
it got anything to do with Manage add-on?? I was trying to learn it and
wondering how to work it. I call the internet provider and he thinks
there's something wrong with my phone. I think it might be the Manage
add-on. Can anyone help??
Thanks,
Lauria

Ring the company who provide your phone line (Not your ISP unless they do
both!) i.e. British Telecom and ask them to do a line check! If the line is
fine then its something your end, but I doubt Manage has anything to do with
it.

Goldpony, there's the `old' trick of opening up IE without any Add-Ons. I
believe you can find it in accessories (Start==>Accessories==>System
Tools==>IE (no Add-Ons)). If your speed improves then it's likely to be one
of your Add-Ons that's causing the drop in speed. If so, open IE normally,
use `Manage Add-On's' to temporarily disable each Add-On one at a time until
the performance improves. If you get to that point, then it's your decision
to permanently remove the troublesome Add-On.

I recently had a similar problem, and I tried everything I could think of
and suggested by others to no avail. After being footballed around by AT&T
for over an hour, they finally connected me with a guy who reset my modem
from his end. Problem solved in about 30 seconds.
