What I did was open the IE Properties/Security Tab/Restricted Sites/Sites
Button.
That will show you a VERY long list (which may be why it slows things down
so much). Then I just picked one at random and did a search for it in the
Registry, then deleted the entire Key that contained all of them. Then
rebooted, and all was well. List within the IE dialog should then be empty.
It may also be possible (and easier?) to REMOVE the immunization protection
from within Spybot somewhere, but I had already uninstalled it by then
first, and all the sites remained in the list.
